  TURBULENCE — Definition - adjective - very excited or upset, wild and unruly. “Terrible on Babylon and strong for the Gideon is how I stand.”

Born in KINGSTON, St. Andrew on 11th January 1980, the last of three (3) children. Sheldon Campbell a.k.a. Turbulence describes himself with words like positive, determined, brave, kind and generous, a real Rasta.

This talented artist started his career while at school, where he honed his skills on the desktop and behind the auditorium. Growing up he was inspired by the voices of Bob Marley, Garnet Silk, Peter Tosh. Eddie Fitzroy and Jacob Miller.
Turbulence who got his name from an elder Rasta man who saw him “mash up” a show under the name "Double Trouble”. The elder told him to change his name to Turbulence and he has never looked back.

The first recording were done in 1999 for producer Philip ‘Fattis’ Burrell on his
X-Terminator label titled “Think of Peace”. Since that he has worked with many labels in Jamaica and internationally. Apart from being a member of the
X-Terminator family he has recorded for labels like Kariang. Cell Block, Scorpio, Mixing Lab, One Love, Tuff Gong, King of Kings, Culcha Lee, and from Germany Mina 7 and FIat 5.
Turbulence and his message are being well received as his songs in rotation an radio. Think of Peace, Give Her What She Want. I Love You So. Yen Yea Yea. Free and Hype, along with his many stage show performances have made him one of the hottest performers coming out of Jamaica.

This key member of the Higher Trod Family has seen wide exposure as the opening act for Sizz!a in North America, Europe and the Caribbean, Turbulence message to the world is that there should be no racial discrimination. The strong must help the weak, trust in Rastafari and burn out weakness. For the young entering the wide world Turbulence says hard work is the key to success, know your history as Marcus Garvey said, “go for what you want with positivity and a clean heart and mind. More greatness, repatriation and reparation is what Turbulence is looking for in the future.
